Blenheim Completes Perfect Season
Only the playoffs remain for the Blenheim Bobcats senior boys basketball team after the team finished the regular season a perfect 12-0 in the LKSSAA Senior ‘A’ division.
Paced by Ashton Dudgeon-Baker, who scored a game high 17-points, the Bobcats closed out their season with a 75-29 win over Tilbury Thursday evening. Matt Laidlaw and Ondrej Capka each had 11-points for the Bobcats in the win.
Blenheim dominated the season, outscoring their opponents by an average of 30.75 points en route to their 12-0 record.
Baker, along with Jake Hansen proved a difficult duo to stop for the Bobcats, who also received offensive contributions from a depth of players including Reese Martell-Davis, Rob Faftak, Matt Revie, Capka, Laidlaw, and Chad Oakey this season.
Blenheim will now face 4th place St. Francois-Xavier in the LKSSAA Senior ‘A’ semi-final, Thursday, February 12. Pain Court will tip off against Chatham Christian in the other semi-final.
