Chatham’s Chad Laprise has a fight and an opponent, as he’ll re-enter the UFC cage on April 25 as a part of UFC 186 in Montreal, Quebec.

“It’s official I will now be fighting Bryan Barberena at UFC 186 April 25th here in Montreal,” wrote Laprise on his Facebook page. “Can’t wait to put on a show for all my Canadian fans!”

In October of 2014, Laprise won his first official UFC fight, defeating Yosdenis Cedeno by a unanimous decision as a part of UFC Fight Night Halifax, scored 30-27, 30-27, 30-27.

Laprise joined the UFC last year after winning The Ultimate Fighter Nations title, earning a UFC contract. Currently, Laprise sits with an unblemished 9-0 record.

Bryan Barberena, Laprise’s opponent for the fight, has a 10-2 professional record, including his first UFC win, which came in December, a TKO on punches victory over Joe Ellenberger.

UFC 186 will be headlined by a UFC Bantamweight Championship rematch between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barão.
