Chatham hosted the Lloyd Ogilvie Memorial Synchronized Skating Competition at the Thames Campus Arena on Saturday, February 21st. Teams from all over Ontario competed in the competition, which began bright and early at 7:30am up until 10:40pm that evening.

Local Chatham-Kent volunteers were up and ready from the night before to set up, to the very last skate the day of. Volunteers took care of water, skate guards, admissions, doors, and so much more. It’s safe to say without the volunteers, competition day would not have been easy.

65 teams competed that day including Toronto and Amhurstburg.

Nexxice Junior performed that day with a stunning performance by all 20 skaters. They had competed in Milan Italy at the Spring Cup from the 14-15th of February placing 2nd.
