Novice Outlaws Chatham’s Golden Girls
The Novice Chatham Kia Outlaws took part in the Novice B division of the B.A.D. Blazers tournament this past weekend and came home as champions. The Chatham Outlaws defeated the B.A.D. Blazers 4-3 in the championship game to grab the tournament title.
To open the tournament, Chatham faced the same B.A.D. team they would later need to defeat in the final, playing to a hard fought 1-1 tie. Jordin Whiteye scored the only goal in the game.
Chatham then defeated the Windsor Wildcats 2-1. Fiona Waddick had a goal and an assist, while Jeanette Legere had the other Chatham Outlaws goal.
In their third game, Legere and Waddick each scored to lead the Chatham Outlaws to a 2-2 tie against the Cambridge Roadrunners.
Entering the championship game undefeated, and playing the host B.A.D. Blazers, Chatham’s Hudson Denure scored a hat trick, leading her Outlaws team to a 4-3 win and the tournament title. Jordin Whiteye had the other Chatham goal, while Emily Debrouwer and Fiona Waddick each had a pair of assists, and Savanah Smith and Meghan Fife each added a single assist in the win.
