Wallaceurg Invites Youth To Try Lacrosse For Free
Wallaceburg Lacrosse is offering a “Try Lacrosse For Free” event this March, with multiple dates for youth in Wallaceburg and Chatham-Kent.
On March 7th from 10 -12, Wallaceburg Lacrosse will offer Free Lacrosse Sessions for Paperweight and Peanut children aged 3-6.
The next session, March 14th from 10-12, will be for girls of any age.
Both sessions will take place at the Kinsmen Gymnasium in Wallaceburg. Anyone who wishes to attend is asked to bring a hockey or lacrosse helmet, gloves, and running shows. Sticks will be provided for all attendees.
No registration is needed for either event, as youth are invited to simply drop in to the two free events.
As well, Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse is reaching out to area schools, hoping they might invite the organization in to run a free lacrosse clinic with students. Wallaceburg lacrosse product Tye Belanger who players professionally in the NLL, will run a free clinic for classes.
Any hockey coaches looking to interest their players in lacrosse as an offseason option, are also invited to contact Chris Dawson at cdawson@wallaceburglacrosse.com, who will set up a seminar to introduce hockey players to lacrosse as a form of offseason training and skill development.
