Admirals Taunt Blades With Stolen Sign

Amherstburg Admirals stolen sign

Amherstburg Admirals players pose with a stolen “Go Blades Go” sign which was once attached to the community of Blenheim’s Welcome Sign – Photo from Instagram

The Amherstburg Admirals have not acted “admirably” with a recent post to social media.

An image appeared on Instagram recently, showing the Amherstburg Admirals in their team dressing room with a “Go Blades Go” sign, that is usually found as an entrance sign to the community of Blenheim.

The stolen sign soon found its way to social networks, and was forwarded by multiple individuals to CKSN.ca.

In the photo, seen at right, several members of the Admirals also appear to be pointing their sticks as if they were guns at the camera.

Additionally, under the image, a stream of comments broke out between Amherstburg and Blenheim players, in which one Amherstburg player used the “N-word” in reference to how the sign came to be in their possession.

Amherstburg defeated the Blenheim Blades in 6 games during the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League semi-finals last month, before eventually being defeated by the Essex 73s in the Great Lakes final.

I also don’t feel mocking a Blades player upset after the loss of that series was appropriate. The photo of the player on one knee – obviously upset with loss – was posted all over social media together with photos of Admirals players re creating the pose.
