Blenheim’s Tyler Clarke helped the Exeter Hawks win the SOJHL Junior C championship this week as his team eliminated the Dorchester Dolphins in the league final.

Clarke, a former Blenheim Blades player, is in his second season of coaching, serving as an assistant captain with the Exeter Hawks.

“It feels unbelievable to win a championship, especially as a coach,” said Clarke about the victory. “You get to see all the hard work the boys put into the season to win it all and on the same token you have no control on the outcome of the game so it makes it really interesting.”

Clarke was the Blenheim Blades’ leading scorer and MVP in 2012-2013, his final season with the team, which also featured a highlight reel goal that landed as TSN’s #5 highlight of the year.

Clarke is currently working for his family company “Just Pipe” and he is living in London, Ontario, a short drive from Exeter.

The Exeter Hawks swept the Dorchester Dophins 4-0 in the final series, including a decisive 8-1 series deciding win.
