Handsor Named To OCAA Basketball All-Rookie Team

Wallaceburg’s Torrie Handsor was recognized this week for her incredible rookie campaign with the St. Clair College Saints as she was named to the OCAA women’s basketball All-Rookie Team.

Handsor played in all 18 of St. Clair’s games this season and was one of only 6 players named to the OCAA All-Rookie team from the Provinces 19 teams.

The Wallaceburg District Secondary School graduate averaged 6.7 points per game, along with 6.4 rebounds per game, and 1.2 assists.

Handsor’s statistics put her in the top 20 in the OCAA in total rebounds, blocks, and offensive rebounds.

Hitting double digits in six games this season, Handsor had a season high 19-points in a January win over Redeemer College. Handsor also had more than 10 rebounds on four occasions this season.
