Clachan’s Travis Konecny was injured Sunday in a 3-2 Ottawa 67s loss to the Mississauga Steelheads.

Konecny left the game in the third period, and finished the evening watching from the sidelines with his arm in a sling.

Although no official word was immediately given, Konecny is likely to have injured his right shoulder.

The Ottawa 67s captain is highly regarded for the upcoming NHL Draft, ranked as a likely first round NHL selection.

Konecny had been dynamic in the loss scoring a goal and an assist before his injury.

In 60 games this season, Konecny had 29 goals and 39 assists for 68 points.

While the Ottawa 67s brass wouldn’t speculate on his return Sunday, the team team doctors did re-evaluate the former Chatham-Kent Cyclones star on Monday, stating he would likely be out 2-4 weeks.
