After being named to the OUA All-Rookie team earlier this month, Chatham’s Luke Allin has added another honour to his name, being named to the CIS All-Rookie Team.

Allin, who played for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s basketball team is the first Laurier player to receive the honour since the school’s all-time leading scorer Kale Harrison, who was named a CIS all-rookie team member in 2007-2008.

Allin, a native of Chatham, Ont., becomes just the second Wilfrid Laurier men’s basketball player to earn CIS All-Rookie honours following in the footsteps of all-time leading scorer Kale Harrison who was named to the team in 2007-08.

Staring 18 games this season, Allin averaged 7.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and was second in the OUA in three-point shooting efficiency connecting on 49.3 percent of his attempts.

Allin was one of only two players from Ontario named to the Canadian All-Rookie team, with Brock’s Johneil Simpson the other.
