A trio of Chatham-Kent hockey players, Chatham’s Taylor Lockwood, Halle Crane, and Jillian Crane have all signed with the PWHL’s Southwest Wildcats.

Southwest also signed Chatham Outlaws alumni Victoria Hilton, who played for Chatham’s Midget ‘AA’ entry last season, and Sofia Smithson, who was a member of Chatham’s Bantam ‘A’ team last year.

Lockwood skated for Windsor’s Midget ‘AA’ team last season, while also playing high school hockey with the Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks.

The Crane’s, who are twin sisters, also played Midget ‘AA’ in Windsor last year, and attend UCC, although they do not play hockey for the school.

The trio of Chatham-Kent players join Sydnee Baker and Katreena Whiteye in the PWHL, who will play for the London Devilettes this season.

Several other Chatham-Kent hockey players were offered PWHL roster sports this season, but chose to return to what are expected to be very strong teams with Chatham’s Midget ‘AA’ and Bantam ‘AA’ entries this season. Chatham-Kent players are also expected to have an impact on the Sarnia Lady Sting Midget ‘AA’ team this season.
