Ballhawks Show Promise, Win Title

The 16U Ballhawks Girls went to Novi, Michigan this weekend to compete in Motor City Madness. They were ranked 15 out of 24 teams in the 16 Club division. By tournament’s end however, the promising Ballhawks team would by the 7th ranked team, and leave with a win in the Silver Division championship final.

In Pool play, the Chatham Ballhawks fell to the Michigan Elite 15 Black – 15-25, 16-25, defeated the Great Lakes 16 – 26-24, 13-25, 15-9, and beat Michigan Elite 16 – 25-17, 25-17, to finish second in their pool and move to the Silver Division playoffs.

In the quarter finals vs Michigan Elite 16 North, Chatham took the win 23-25, 25-14, 15-10. Facing Michigan Elite Copper in the semi-final, the Ballhawks were again victorious winning 25-10, 27-25.

In the finals versus Crank it!, Chatham continued their run winning 25-20, 25-22 to take the Silver Division title.
