This past weekend, the Chatham-Kent Chaos volleyball club 18U girls team played in the Motor City Madness tournament held in Detroit, Michigan. The Chaos had a great finish to the tournament by capturing the Gold.

The Chaos began tournament playing MEVBA 17 Lion West winning in straight sets, then losing their next 2 matches in some very close games to MEVBA Mizuno 18 Black and MEVBA Mizuno 16 Black

On Sunday, the Chaos rebounded from their rough start on Saturday winning their quarter-final in straight sets against MEVBA 16 Bronze Border, then in the semi-final match, the Kent Chaos knocked off Inside Out 17 Black in 3 sets to move on to the finals, setting up a match against the MEVBA 18 Ruby North

Determined to let them know that the Canadians meant business, the Chaos won the 1st set 26-24 and 26-24 in the 2nd.

Tournament All-Stars were Megan Canniff​ and Summer Eastcott​.

Team Members are Jillian Anderson​ Hunter Medd​ Sheridan Rogers​ Laura Wiersma​ Mariet Wierenga​ Maddy Mooney​ Samantha Lester​ Megan Canniff Summer Eastcott Christina O’Neill Coaches Shawnie Ann​ and Kelly Beausejour​.

Next up for the Chatham Kent Chaos VBC​ is playing in the AAU Michigan State Championships in Grand Rapids, Mi this upcoming weekend where they will look to repeat the success they had this past weekend.
