Jacobs Wins First MMA Fight

Gracie Barra Chatham had three students fight in FCS (Future Combat Superstars) amateur MMA show in Sarnia, Ontario over the weekend.

All three Gracie Barra fighters were competing in their first amateur bouts, entering with a 0-0 record.

John Jacobs of Gracie Barra Chatham defeated Bruce Miano (high ranking BJJ purple belt) of Open Mat Toronto, 1-0 by Armbar in the 1st round. Jacobs was the only fighter to take a win for the Chatham group at the FCS event.

Beau Gallant lost to Dustyn Archer (1-1) of Body of Four JJ in London by triangle in 2nd round, while Katie Clark Sutherland lost to Jessica Hoskins (0-0) of Big Country MMA in Lindsay by decision.
