LKSSAA Soccer Season Wraps Up

The LKSSAA senior girls and boys soccer seasons wrapped up Thursday with championship games being hosted across Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.

In senior boys soccer, Sam Wilcox scored on a penalty kick to lift the John McGregor Panthers to a 1-0 victory over the Wallaceburg Tartans in the boys LKSSAA ‘AA’ final.

Sarnia St. Patricks shut out UCC 3-0 in the ‘AAA-AAAA’ final, while North Lambton defeated Pain Court 4-2 in the ‘A’ final. Ben Bruhlman and Jamie Faubert scored for the ESPC Patriotes in the loss.

In senior girls action, the UCC Lancers defeated the CKSS Golden Hawks in an all Kent final 3-0. Jordan Carr scored a pair, while Keely Baggio scored the third UCC goal, and Sydney Authier recorded the shutout in net to secure the ‘AAA-AAAA’ championship.

In the ‘AA’ final, Sarnia St. Clair shutout Wallaceburg 1-0. The ‘AA’ final saw a duplicate of the boys final, as North Lambton defeated Pain Court, this time by a score of 3-1. Danielle Lucier scored the lone Pain Court goal.

Representatives will now move on to SWOSSAA matches next week against the WECSSAA champions.
