The Kent-Lambton Cougars Varsity football team lost 37-0 against the Hamilton Hurricanes who are the 2 time defending Champs and are the best team in Ontario.

The Cougars held their own with a 9-0 first quarter. Kent-Lambton were able to establish the run early with Tanner Shuian as the work horse, and Gabe Gagner and Jalen Butcher also running their share. Combined this threesome rushed for over 100 yards against the best defense in the league.

The second quarter however, saw Hamilton find success in the air and quickly accumulated 20 points.

The Kent-Lambton Cougars played well in the second half and only allowed Hamilton one TD.

Stand-outs on defense were Carter Wood with 10 tackles and 2 sacks, and Eric Penney with two interceptions.

The Varsity Cougars will look for their first win of the OFC regular season this weekend when they travel to face the Guelph Gryphons June 6 at 5pm.
