The Wallaceburg Red Devils (8-10-1) aim to wrap up their junior ‘B’ lacrosse season on a high note this Sunday on the road against the local rival Point Edward Pacers (4-13-1).

Wallaceburg downed Point in a close 8-6 match-up to close out their regular season schedule at home on Wednesday. The win also clinched Wallaceburg a playoff berth. Sunday marks the season finale with the Red Devils looking for momentum to swing in their favour heading into the playoffs. Wallaceburg will be seeded 7th or 8th in the conference, and will meet up with 1st or 2nd seed opponents.

The Red Devils have been an offensive juggernaut this year, with 202 goals through 19 games, standing toe to toe with some of the most powerful line-ups in the league. Wallaceburg will look to keep their scoring touch under the leadership of Corey Lucier, Kyle Dawson and company with a possible first round match-up against Six Nations (17-1), Niagara (16-3) or Orangeville (15-3-1)

Despite clawing their way to only 4 victories this season, Point Edward has matched up well against Wallaceburg, earning a 7-7 tie and Wednesday’s tight 8-6 loss. The Devils also defeated the Pacers 14-7 in their second contest of the season. Game time Sunday is 3pm in Point Edward.
