Longtime Wallaceburg Red Devils veteran Mike Myers will call Clarington, Ontario home for the remainder of the 2015 OLA Junior B lacrosse season, as the Clarington Green Gaels acquired for offensive player this week.

“We’ve been eyeing him since start of season,” said Clarington head coach, and Wallaceburg product Brad MacArthur. “He was the best top end 94 with playoff experience that was available.”

In 9 games this season with Wallaceburg, Myers has 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points. The veteran has played 113 regular season and playoff games with Wallaceburg since 2010, scoring 100 goals and 283 points in that span.

“We contacted Wallaceburg last week and came to a deal,” added MacArthur about the trade. “Mike can play in different situations, adds toughness, grit, and will add to our scoring balance.”

The Green Gaels currently sit with a perfect 13-0 record, and are first in the Mid East Division, while the Wallaceburg Red Devils are 5-9-1 this season.
