It took them almost two months, but the Wallaceburg Thrashers grabbed their first win in franchise history Saturday in front of a home crowd.

Wallaceburg held off the Owen Sound North Stars for an 11-9 win.

Kyle Childerhouse led the way for the Thrashers scoring 3 goals and adding 4 assists for 7-points on the night. Childerhouse, who played the past two seasons for the Sarnia Beavers, leads Wallaceburg in scoring this season with 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points in 9 games.

In the opening frame of the game, it was Reid Miller who paced the Thrashers. Miller had a first period hat trick, and later added an assists for 4-points in the win.

Also scoring for the Thrashers in the game were Colin McDowall, with a pair, and Clint Lamarsh, Kyle VanDamme, and William Trudeau scoring singles.

Tyler Glebe made 49 saves in the win.
