Anderson Wins Prospects Showcase

Chatham-Kent product Sam Anderson played in the North American Prospects Showcase (NAPS) tournament this weekend in Rochester, New York with her 2001 Pro Hockey team, based out of Toronto, helping her club to the tournament title.

They played against West Coast Selects, East Coast Selects, East Coast Selects Quebec, as well as other teams from across North America.

Anderson and her Pro Hockey team beat the East Coast Selects Quebec in the semi finals and East Coast Selects in the final game with a 1-0 victory.

This is the same Pro Hockey team that Anderson travelled with to Bolzano, Italy in early May. T

hey were also crowned champions at the Niagara Battle Tournament at the end of May.

Sam Anderson will play Bantam AA with the Sarnia Lady Sting in the upcoming season and will be entering grade 9 at UCC in the Fall.
