C-K Sports Talk Is Area’s New Local Sports Show

CK-Sports-Talk-hd CKSN.ca has teamed up with local media partners at 99.1 CKXS and TV Cogeco Chatham to present a weekly local sports talk show, entitled C-K Sports Talk.

Hosted by long-time sports enthusiasts Peter Cobb and Sean Moynihan alongside the 99.1 staff including Bill Cole and Jay Smith, the weekly show can be heard Monday nights at 6:10 pm live on the air with CKXS, also streaming online at ckxsfm.com. The produced television piece will air regularly on TV Cogeco at channel 11 / channel 6 in Wallaceburg.

The show is intended to promote the local athletic scene and to showcase the individuals, groups, teams, coaches, teachers and more, who make Chatham-Kent such a booming success both on the local and international sports scene.

Both CKXS and TVCogeco Chatham have been long-time supporters of local sports. Management from both parties saw the transition as a natural fit. 99.1 and TVCogeco have worked together in the past as community producers and on local Jr B and Jr C hockey broadcasts.

From C-K’s heavy hitters like Shaun Suisham, TJ Brodie and Ken Houston to the local community groups who help cultivate our local passion, C-K Sports Talk hopes to raise local awareness and spread the good news of the area’s success stories while sharing its unique history.

C-K Sports Talk debuted this past Monday night on 99.1, with legendary Dresden and Wallaceburg builder Don Martin as the inaugural guest. Check your local TV Cogeco listings for upcoming air dates.
