  • JUDY THE BEAUTY won her division of the Ontario Sire Stakes for three-year-old trotting fillies at Georgian Downs near Barrie on Tuesday night. The Muscle Mass filly is owned by Randy Zhok of Dover Centre and trained by Keith Jones. JUDY THE BEAUTY trotted the mile in 1:57.2 with Bob McClure at the controls.
  • Dresden Raceway has a special card of harness racing action set for this Friday night with a 5PM post time. The special card is to make up for the opening day that was lost after the rain made the track too dangerous to race. The track will be offering its usual draws and giveaways as well as promoting people to come to the track for a family dinner with half price hot dogs.
  • Crawford McKinlay of Ridgetown fired a 1 over 72 in the second round of the Ontario Men’s Amateur Golf Championship. McKinlay is tied for 13th place at the tourney being held at the Peterborough Golf and Country Club.
  • The Wallaceburg NRG Essentials Boys under 16 soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with the London German Canadians last night. Jacob Vancollie scored the lone Wallaceburg goal.
