Local Sports Briefs: July 3, 2015
- The Wallaceburg Red Devils face a daunting task tonight as they head to Hagarsville to play the Six Nations Rebels in game three of their best of five Ontario Jr. B Lacrosse playoff series. Six Nations leads the series two games to none.
- The Wallaceburg Warriors Women’s Fastball team won again as they pounded Wyoming 18-1. Nikki Myers picked up the win on the hill for the Warriors while Chasity Sands and Kori Van Bestelaar each had three run doubles to lead the way offensively.
- Chatham’s Rich Corrente was solid on the bump for the Burlington Bandits in Inter-County Baseball play as they beat Guelph 11-3. Corrente pitched seven and two thirds inning and gave up eight hits and three runs while striking out two. To score the win.
- The Kent Havoc will host the league leading Norfolk Harvesters in Niagara Union rugby play tomorrow. They hit the Victoria Park pitch at 1:30.
- Dresden Raceway will be hosting BIA day on Sunday afternoon. There will be lots of giveaways and draws with post time for the first race set for 1:30 p.m.
