Locals To Compete At Legion Provincials
Delainey Johnson, who recently won a silver medal in the OFSAA midget girls 3000m race, will compete in the midget girls division in the 1200m and 2000m races. Johnson recently completed her grade 9 school year at Chatham-Kent Secondary School, where she was named the Female Rookie of the Year after reaching OFSAA in both cross country and track and field.
Morgan Desjardins another multi-medallist at OFSAA in recent years with Pain Court, will compete in the shot put and discus events.
Ally Oulds, another CKSS product, who won bronze in the Junior girls 300m hurdles, and finished 5th in the 400m race at OFSAA will compete in the 400m and 400m hurdles in the youth division. Fellow CKSS student Julia Stephens will also compete in the youth javelin.
On the boys side of the District A team, CKSS’ Felix Marchand will compete in the octathlon and CKSS’ Austin McQuiggan will compete in the 2000m steeplechase.
In the midget boys division, CKSS product Ryan Muharrem will compete in triple jump, while Wallaceburg’s Camden Fischer will throw in the shot put and discus.
