Shepley Stands Out
Wallaceburg’s Joel Shepley once again has caught the eye from the higher ups for his play. Shepley was named best defencemen this year in the Sr. B lacrosse circuit, and this is Joel’s first year in Sr. B.
Shepley, a member of the Wallaceburg Thrashers, was a veteran of the Wallaceburg Red Devils where he played for six seasons. In those six season, Joel was able to beat the goalie 39 times, added 74 assists, for a total of 113 points in 107 games.
In 11 games played, the Thrashers captain found twine 4 times and helped 3 times for a season total of 7 points.
Joel was also drafted earlier this year by the Sr. A Brampton Excelsiors from the Major Series Lacrosse League nineteenth overall. MSL is comprised of players mostly active or veterans of the NLL. Shelpley Also plays with the CLAX Southwestern Cyclops. Joel played for the 2014 Six Nations squad, which won the Minto Cup. That’s a pretty impressive lacrosse resume if you ask me.
