Wallaceburg Well Represented At National Lacrosse Championships

Emily Vandamme

Emily Vandamme is looking to add to her medal count at this year’s National Lacrosse Championship

Wallaceburg is undefeated thus far at the National Lacrosse Championships. Sort of.

Wallaceburg’s Emily Van Damme has become a bit of a veteran on the national stage and is 2-0 with the Team Ontario Jr Women’s squad at the National Lacrosse Championship. A solid netminder, VanDamme backstopped her team to a 3-2 win over Alberta yesterday.

Meanwhile, Tanner Cole and the Bantam boys on Team Ontario are ripping it up. Now 3-0 in round robin play, Cole and his team mates have their sights on a first place finish and a hopeful automatic trip to the gold medal game. With only one goal against them through three games, Team Ontario has outscored their opposition to the tune of 35-1. Cole has one goal and 7 assists through three games for Team Ontario.

The Bantam boys play Alberta today at 1:30pm and BC at 6:45 this evening. All of the games can be streamed live using the 99.1 CKXS website.
