Camp Rolls On For Suisham

With NFL training camps now well underway, Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham is again the man for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the kicking position.

Last week, Suisham impressed going 8-for-8 in his first kicking drills, while also auditioning several different holders.

Practices this week are leading up to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first preseason game this coming weekend when the Steelers face the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, August 9 at 8pm in the annual Hall of Fame game.

Pittsburgh will also face Jacksonville (August 14), Green Bay (August 23), Buffalo (August 29), and Carolina (September 3) in preseason action.

The Pittsburgh Steelers regular season schedule opens with the first game of the NHL schedule, Thursday, September 10 against the New England Patriots on the road.

Last season Suisham appeared in all 16 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers going 29-for-32, or 90.6%, while also making all 45 of his point after attempts. He also made a career long 53-yard field goal. On kick offs, Suisham averaged 62.4 yards.
