Dresden Raceway Seasons Wraps Up With A Bang
Dresden Raceway put some panache in the last day of racing for 2015 as over 1,500 people showed up at the track and bet a total handle of $40,474.
Donnie Rankin shone on the day, driving three winners, which vaulted him into a second place finish in the driver’s standing.
Rankin guided COLORADO BUCK (Rambaran), SWEET DEAL (Western Ideal) and TARANADAWN (Whosurboy) to victory on the final day of the meet to give him 12 wins on the season.
Nick Steward was the leading dash and money winner on the year as he racked up 27 wins and just over $60,000 in purse earnings. Rankin was second in the standings while Tyler Borth finished third with 11 victories thanks to a pair of wins today.
The total handle for the 11 cards of racing in the 2015 meet was $216,900 which averaged out to $19,718 per card.
Under the guidance of General Manager Greg Blanchard and Dresden Ag Society president Lucille Laprise the track has vaulted to one of the most energetic small tracks in the province with draws, giveaways, and contests for all ages.
