Kings Beat Lakers In Exhibition Game

The Dresden Kings and Wallaceburg Lakers faced off on Sunday in a Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League exhibition game.

Dresden beat Wallaceburg 7-4 at Thames Campus in Chatham, with both teams icing a mix of veteran and rookie lineups.

Brady Hogg scored a pair of goals for the Dresden Kings in the win. Hogg, is a 16-year-old who spent last season with the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.

Dresden also got goals from Carter Wright, Brantley Kuipers, Ryan Malott, Mitch Mazerole, and Cole McGregor.

Tyler Shaw scored a pair of goals for the Wallaceburg Lakers. Drew Fisher and Derek Findlay also scored for the Lakers.

The Dresden Kings will begin their 2015-2016 season September 11 at home against Alvinston. Wallaceburg starts September 12 on the road against the Mooretown Flags.
