Local Sports Briefs: August 24, 2015
- Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston had three assists as the Six Nations Arrows beat the Coquitlam Adanacs 9-8 in overtime to even up the Minto Cup Championship Series at one game a piece. The winner of the best of five series will be crowned the Canadian Jr “A” Lacrosse Champion.
- Philip Clarke scored a hat trick to lead the Blenheim Blades past the Lambeth Lancers in Jr C Exhibition hockey action. Matt Clark added two goals for the Blades.
- The Dresden Jr Kings will open up their training camp tonight at Thames Campus Arena while the Wallaceburg Lakers opened their camp this past weekend.
- Wheatley’s Erin Kopinak took top spot on the Southland Golf Tour. Kopinak won six of the nine tour events and finished second in two.
