Local Sports Briefs: August 26
- The Six Nations Arrows own a two games to one lead in Minto Cup Lacrosse action after beating the Coquitlam Adanacs 8-5 last night. Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston notched one assist in last night’s game. The best of seven series continues tonight.
- The Chatham Attack beat London Marconi “B” 1-0 in the Second Cup Final of the London and District Soccer Association. Austin Seed scored the lone goal. The Wallaceburg Sting will play Simcoe tonight in the First Division cup final.
- Former teacher and coach, Larry Lahey, has written about high school sports in Chatham-Kent. Lahey feautued each high school, past and present in Chatham-Kent. The book, The History of Kent County High School Sports can be purchased at Lenover’s Meats and the Instant Print Shop in Chatham and Wallaceburg for $25.
