Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham may be spending some time on the sidelines after the Pittsburgh Steelers kicker injured himself in the teams opening NFL preseason game this weekend.

“On the injury front, we have a couple of significant or potentially significant ones. Shaun Suisham has a left knee injury,” said Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin in a post game press conference. “I don’t have any more information at this time. We are going to evaluate him.”

Suisham was injured after involving himself in a tackle following a kick off.

“I hadn’t talked to him or seen what transpired in terms of the injury and how it transpired, so I am not going to speculate at this point,” said Tomlin about Suisham’s involvement in the okay.

With more than a decade of NFL experience, Suisham is coming off a season in which he went 29-for-32, or 90.6%.

Pittsburgh fell to Minnesota 14-6 in the Hall of Fame Game.
