Wallaceburg’s Joel Shepley and Walpole Island’s Isiah Kicknosway are both vying for the President’s Cup which is the top prize in Canadian Sr. B Lacrosse. Shepley’s St Catherines Saints beat the Nova Scotia Privateers 16-7 in their opening round robin game. Kicknosway’s Six Nations Rivermen thumped the Rocky View Knights 14-4.
Brady Hogg of Thamesville is the newest member of the Dresden Kings. The King’s inked the 15-year-old last night after the blueliner scored twice in an exhibition game on Sunday against Wallaceburg.
The Chatham Strikers women’s Soccer team finished their inaugural season in the London and Area Women’s Soccer League in grand fashion as the beat Byron Force 3-2 to win the Third West Division Cup. The Strikers finished the season with a 12-1-2 record.
