Long Time Lakers Trainer Passes Away
Before dropping the puck on the 2015-16 season, Wallaceburg Lakers faithful were in mourning this weekend following the passing of former long-time trainer Wayne “Chop Dog” Robinson.
Many former Lakers players, executive, coaches and fans hit social media with fond memories of Robinson. Many players were in shock of the passing of the 61-year-old and recalled “Chop Dog” as a down-to-earth, fun-loving friend on and off the ice.
The current Lakers executive send their best wishes and condolences to the family and friends of Robinson.
Visitation service for Robinson was held on Sunday at Nicholls Funeral Home in Wallaceburg. At Wayne’s request, cremation will follow. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated
