The Blenheim Blades needed extra time to settle things with the Lakeshore Canadians Wednesday night in Great Lakes Junior C action.

After falling to the Essex 73s the night before, Blenheim’s Drew Marlatt played hero Wednesday scoring at 3:37 of overtime to secure the 5-4 win for his team. Marlatt finished the night with a goal and 2 assists.

Also scoring for the Blenheim Blades in Wednesday’s win were Nick Delyzer, Bryan Boersma, Carbin Hagerman, and Kirk McKillop.

Klinton Kenney made 42 saves in the win.

The win temporarily slides the Blades in front of the Canadians in the Great Lakes standings, as Blenheim sits in third with a 4-2-1-0 record, trailing Essex and Amherstburg.
