Lakers Holding Memorial Night for Jason White
The Wallaceburg Lakers have had their fair share of bad luck and troubled times the past few seasons.
Off the ice, the Lakers felt the pain of their deepest loss with the passing of Jason White, a teammate on February 27, 2014.
This Wednesday night, the Lakers host the Wheatley-Omstead Sharks on home ice. Prior to the puck drop, the Lakers organization is holding a memorial service to retire White’s #7 jersey. During the memorial, there will be a native drum ceremony.
White passed away tragically, while on the Lakers roster. Jason played his minor hockey in Wallaceburg and attended WDSS.
The upstairs bar will be open during the game. The Lakers executive and management remind everyone to drink responsibly and to arrange a designated driver.
