– The Dresden Kings will be looking to snap a three game skid tonight when they host the Essex 73’s. Puck drop is slated for 7:30 p.m. at the Lambton-Kent Memorial Arena.
– Matt Rabideau’s North Bay Battalion will be hosting the Sarnia Sting in OHL play tonight while the Windsor Spitfires will be heading up the 401 to play the London Knights. The Spits are reportedly shopping goaltender Brendan Johnston around the OHL. Port Lambton’s Johnston has been dropped from their roster after a 12-16-2-2- record in his rookie campaign and a 4.71GAA.
– Simon Yazbeck rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns while Jacob Broad hammered away with 143 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wallaceburg Tartans over the John McGregor Panthers 36-20 in 8-man high school football action. The St Pat’s Fighting Irish beat the C-K Golden Hawks 10-0 in 12 man football play.
– The Lambton Kent Cardinals got 12 points from Ally Sanderson as they beat the Chatham Christian Flames 42-25 in Sr. Girls “A” basketball play. Aubrey Michaud scored eight points for Pain Court as they beat ST. FX 27-9 while Ridgetown dropped North Lambton 51-25 thanks to 14 points from Val Gotelear and 13 from Kealy Taylor Noah.
– The Wallaceburg Tartns bounced Sarnia St. Clair 47-42 after getting 15 points from Shae Denys and 12 points from Ashleigh Leblanc in Sr. Girls “AA-AAAA”. CK beat the Pines 64-27.
– The Blenheim Bobcats bounced the Tilbury Titans 44-15 with Lydia Hall and Keely Pardo each scoring nine points for the Bobcats while Corinna Vandenboom scored 10 points for the Ridgetown Royals as they beat North Lambton 35-12.
– In Jr. Girls “AA-AAAA” play the WallaceburgTartans rolled over John McGregor 54-11. Keanha Riley led the Tartans with16 points while Megan Zelina added eight. The CK Golden Hawks outgunned the UCC Lancers 40-5 thanks to 12 points from Taryn Dudley.
