– The Alvinston Flyers beat the Wallaceburg Lakers 5-2 last night in Great Lakes Jr C Hockey action. The Lakers who are still looking for their first win picked up goals from Justin Browning and Ryan Greenaway.
– Travis Konecny has been chosen to suit up for Team OHL when they take on the Russians next month. The Clachan native leads the Ottawa 67’s with one goal and 15 assists for 16 points this season.
-The Chatham Maroons will be hosting the Lambton Shores Predators tonight in Great Ontario Junior Hockey League action, after the game fans can skate with the Maroons.
– The Ridgetown Roayls won the lone game in Sr. “A” Girls Basketball action as they beat the Blenheim Bobcats 40-15. Sohpia Perpina scored 15 to lead the way for the Royals while Larissa Ainsworth notched six for Blenheim.
– The CKSS Golden Hawks were well represented at the LKDSSAA Cross Country meet as they won four titles including the Jr Girls title by Delainey Johnson, the Sr. Girls title by Ally Oulds, the Sr. Boys title by Quinn Canella and the Sr. Boys Team Championship. Aiden Lachine of Pain Court took the Jr Boys Championship.
– Dresden’s Chris “The Menace” Clements has been released by the UFC. Clements who is 2-2 in UFC competition and 12-6 overall said he realized his dream to fight in the UFC.
