Ballhawks Win Silver

The Chatham Ballhawks 17U Girls came home with a Silver Medal after competing in their first tournament of the season in Windsor on November 14th.

The Ballhawks entered the Provincial Cup Trillium A tournament seeded first.

Chatham swept through pool play, defeating the Brant Tornadoes 25-18, 25-14, and Sarnia Twin Bridges 25-12, 25-10, to secure first place in their pool.

In the quarter-finals, the Ballhawks faced a tall Stratford Stingers team, but powered through winning 25-22, 25-18. In the semi-finals, the Ballhawks faced a tough South County Bandits 16U team. They battled back and forth in the first game, until the Ballhawks libero suffered an injury, leaving the team to readjust their game play.

After losing the first set, 22-25, Chatham battled back winning 25-22, 15-10 to make it to the finals. Immediately after winning the semi-finals, the Ballhawks faced a talented Forest City team in the finals.

The Ballhawks were unable to gather momentum to overcome a rested Forest City team, losing 13-25, 14-25.
