Two Chatham runners, Delainey Johnson and Ally Oulds helped the Windsor Legion team win a Youth Girls National Championship over the weekend in Kingston, Ontario.

Johnson finished 7th overall, and was the top runner for the Windsor team, crossing with a time of 14:29.1. Oulds finished 85th with a time of 15:48.6.

Both runners recently qualified for OFSAA cross country as members of the Chatham-Kent Secondary School team.

Delainey Johnson, a grade 10 runner competing up an age group, also won a second gold on the weekend after being nominated to compete for Team Ontario, who ran away with the Provincial contest.

On the men’s side, Chatham’s Josh Kellier and Quinn Cannella ran for the Windsor team, which won bronze in the Junior Men division.

Kellier finished 38th in the race with a time of 26:16.3, while Cannella came in 78th with a time of 27:32.9.
