The Dresden Jr Kings skinned the Wheatley Sharks last night in Jr C Hockey action a narrow 7-6 victory for the Jr Kings…Dillon Liberty picking up a pair for the Jr Kings- Ryan Malott’s hat trick led the Ursuline Lancers to a 6-1 win over the Chatham-Kent Golden Hawks as the LKSSAA hockey season opened up. The league has four teams from Chatham-Kent this season. Wallaceburg and Ridgetown have dropped out, but the McGregor Panthers are back after sitting out last season
- Bridget Carleton of Chatham was named the Big 12 women’s basketball freshman of the week yesterday… Carleton set the Iowa State freshman record for most points in a career debut…She is fifth in the Big 12 with 19.5 points per game
