- Lots of local JR C hockey action tonight. The Wallaceburg Lakers will be in Mooretown to face the Flags and the Dresden Jr Kings will travel to Lakeshore to play the Canadiens
- Austin Thompson had a pair of goals as the Chatham Maroons shut down the Lambton Shores Predators last night 5-2 in Jr B action
- The Sarnia Legionnaires doubled up the London Nationals 4-2.
- It was the battle of the birds in Sr Girls High School Hockey action yesterday. The Chatham Kent Golden Hawks shut out the Lambton Kent Cardinals 2 – 0. The Cards had to forfeit with a goalie injury
- The Harrow Hawks swept the Blenheim Bobcats in straight sets to win the SWOSSAA senior boys ‘A’ volleyball final Thursday.The Hawks advance to the OFSAA ‘A’ championship in Toronto
- The Ursuline Lancers beat the LaSalle Sandwich Sabres in five sets in the SWOSSAA junior boys ‘AAA’ volleyball final
- Today it’s the LKSSAA 12 man Sr Boys High School Football finals with Northern hosting CKSS
- Dresden will be busy this weekend with an Atom Hockey tournament the Wallaceburg Atom TC 1 team will be in action at 4 pm with the Atom AE team playing at 7 the Minor Midgets will also see play at 9:30 this evening
- The Windsor Spitfires got by Guelph 3-2 in OHL action. James McEwan of Chatham picking up his 8th goal with the Storm
