Maroons Captain Hopkins Signs With Blenheim Blades

After leaving the Chatham Maroons this past weekend, captain Brayden Hopkins has decided to sign with the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League’s Blenheim Blades.

Hopkins, a 1995 birth year, will be eligible to play for the Blades this season and next because he signed prior to the December 1 deadline.

In 17 games this season with the Chatham Maroons, Hopkins had 4 goals and 9 assists for 13 games.

Hopkins has played for the Maroons since 2012-2013, collecting 151 points in 161 career Junior B games, including a career high 22 goals and 59 assists in 47 games last season.

Hopkins will add to the high powered Blenheim Blades’ offense that already includes league leaders Zach Horvath and Drew Marlatt.
