The Chatham Ballhawks 17U Girls volleyball team captured their second silver medal in as many weeks. They traveled to Kitchener to play in the 18U Provincial Cup on Saturday.

Ranked 5th going into the tournament, they ended pool play, second in their pool. The Ballhawks faced the KW Predators 17U team, losing in 3 games, 25-15, 16-25, 7-15, and then they played the Waterloo Tigers Red 17U, coming out on top in 3 games, 25-16, 20-25, 15-3.

In the quarter finals, the Chatham Ballhawks faced their first 18U team, the Waterloo Tigers.

Chatham swept them in 2 games, 25-16, 25-11. In the semi-finals, the Ballhawks faced a tough Oxford Crush 18U team. It was a close battle, but the Ballhawks prevailed and came out with the win in 3 games, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13.

In the finals, the Ballhawks faced another 17U team, this one from London; Forest City Green. They played well, but could not pull out the kills when needed, and lost 20-25, 23-25
