One SWOSSAA championship officially belongs to Wallaceburg. Another is within reach.

The WDSS Sr Girls basketball team downed General Amherst 51-31 Tuesday night on the home floor to claim the South Western Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association title.

Sawyer Fischer led the way with 21 points.

The Lady Tartans advance to the OFSAA championship to play for the provincial crown in Kingsville.

Meanwhile, the WDSS Jr Girls travel to Kingsville to play for their SWOSSAA championship tonight (Wed, Nov 18).
