February 2015 saw a number of individual athletes reaching new heights in Chatham-Kent.

Krieger Names Top Rookie: Ross Krieger finished a spectacular season with the Dresden Jr. Kings by receiving the recognition he deserved, being named the Great Lakes Junior C Rookie of the Year.

Gagner Commits To NCAA: After finishing a spectacular soccer career with the Eastside Kickers in Windsor, and Chatham-Kent Secondary School, Chatham’s Sydnye Gagner chose the NCAA Division I Oakland University Grizzlies.

Julia Corrente Makes Bobsleigh History: Chatham’s Julia Corrente made history competing in the first all-woman four-person bobsleigh team in an Internationally sanctioned event for Canada.

Go Kart Racing Announced For South Buxton: With a long history of success on the dirt track, South Buxton Raceway chose to expand their offerings to Wednesday night’s, hosting go-kart racing.

Feasey Wins GOJHL Scoring Title: Things didn’t look good for the Chatham Maroons sniper, trailing the GOJHL scoring race heading into the final game of the season. That is until Feasy put up six points in his final game to finish with 41 goals, 49 assists, 90 points, and the GOJHL title.

Coach vs. Parent Fight Sparks Suspensions In Local House League: In a story broken by CKSN, which saw parents and coaches fighting in a Chatham hallway following a house league game, cooler heads prevailed as Kent Minor Hockey suspended the coaches.
