Cyclones Shine At All-Star Weekend
For the Minor Midget Cyclones, it was an opportunity to showcase themselves to OHL scouts for this year’s draft.
Netminder CJ Burgess helped his Team Grey squad to a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend winning both of his games making 47 saves, and collecting a 2.50 GAA and .904 save percentage in those starts.
The second place team on the weekend was Team Navy, which featured Cyclones forward and leading scorer Grant Spence. Spence, who sits among the Alliance’s leading scorers, had 2 goals and 2 assists in 4 games for Team Navy.
Skating for Team White, Cyclones forward Eric Carter scored a goal and added 2 assists in 4 games over the weekend.
Another Cyclone, Garrett McArthur, also competed for Team Blue on the weekend, but was held scoreless.
The Bantam Alliance All-Star game was also played this weekend with defensemen Grayson Ladd and Bryar Dittmer competing in the game, which saw their Team West defeat the Alliance East All-Stars. Ladd recorded an assist in the win.
