In an otherwise underwhelming season, the Wallaceburg Lakers have found a gem in George Wood.

The Bracebridge native has been electric for the Lakers and was named the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Player Of The Month for the month of November. Wood scored 7 goals and added 9 assists for 16 points in 9 games during November.

Wood has a total of 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points to lead the Lakers this season.

Wood is 12th among league leaders this season.
