Local Curlers Medal At 55+ Event

32 competitors from the Chatham-Kent and the Windsor-Essex OSGA Districts recently competed in an Inter District Curling Event at the Kingsville Curling Club.

Two teams from Chatham-Kent placed first and second in the interdistrict competition.

Gold place winners were Jerry Forsyth, Dianne Forsyth, Roger Kellam and Janet Gallant from the Blenheim Golden Acres Curling Club with the Silver place winners from the Chatham Granite Club (Kent Byrnes, Diane Byrnes, John Shields and Brenda Taylor).

The OSGA 55+ Games are composed of 41 districts throughout all of Ontario. There are over 10,000 participants that take part in a variety of summer and winter activities. These events are available to anyone over the age of 55 that resides in Ontario. Regardless of your age, gender or athleticism, there is an activity that is right for you. Local competitors have their eye on the 2016 Summer Provincial 55+ Games being offered next August in the Midland area.
