- The Boston Bruins have officially recalled Wallaceburg native Seth Griffith from Providence…Griffith suffered a knee injury during training camp and the that stopped him from starting the season with Boston…Griff look good last night picking up an assist in Boston’s 7-3 win over Ottawa
- Canada has clinched a playoff spot at the World Jrs….Team Canada with a shootout win over the Switzerland yesterday gives them a spot in the playoffs. Canada’s next game will be Thursday against Sweden
- The Niagara Ice Dogs bit the Sudbury Wolves 3-1 last night in the OHL…Owen Sound doubled up North Bay 4-2 …Trent Fox scored the Overtime winner and turned the light on in regulation time as well as the Hamilton Bulldogs got by Flint 3-2…other OHL winners from last night were Kitchener, Erie, Ottawa and Peterborough…2 games in the O tonight Hamilton is in Saginaw to play the Spirit while Oshawa hosts Kingston
- The Lambeth Lancers hammered the Laker Novice AE team 11-1 last night in minor hockey action…Mooretown shut out the Bantam Rep team 3 – nothing
- January the 2nd is Girls hockey day in Wallaceburg the Atom, Bantam and PeeWee teams will all be in action that day will also be a fund raising day for Cystic Fibrosis
